Smooth Operator

Whoa. I just checked out Sade's latest "Solider of Love" on pitchfork.tv, and I have to say: I am inpressed.

I have liked Sade since high school- way back in the 80s. She had some hit albums with some smooth jazz nuggets like "Paradise," "The Sweetest Taboo," "No Ordinary Love," and "Never As Good As The First Time."

Sade's music is basically the kind of stuff you put on when you are getting busy with your lady. (or in mmathu's case his preschool boys). She is sexy, sultry and superb. Aural sex, if you will.

This new video-the title track to her new album out Feb. 9th (just in time for Valentine's Day-has her looking like the years haven't even touched her. She looks fit and trim, her vocals are as smooth as ever, and the song itself -NOT a cover of the Donny Osmond tune-is surprisingly modern, with hip-hop beats and a great hook.

It is sooo cool to see this Nigerean singer back and better than ever. She always knew how to seduce me, and I can see she is doing it once again.

Excuse me while I go masturbate...
