After a two-year hiatus, Milwaukee singer-songwriter Pat McCurdy returns to the Big Gig this year. McCurdy will perform in the 10 p.m. slot on June 24 -- the festival's opening night -- at the Briggs and Stratton Big Backyard. He will follow a set by Grammy-winning pop star Colbie Calliet.
Singer Grace Weber and pianist Julian Pollack were joined on stage by a drummer, guitarist and saxophone player. The duo, which recently became a five-piece band, comes from New York where its members met as students two years ago at New York University's School of Music.
It was a difficult decision to make regarding last night’s headliners, but in the end I trusted my instincts and headed over to catch The Wailers…and I am delighted I did. The spirit of Bob Marley was most definitely in the house during this lovefest at the Miller Lite Oasis, as the adoring throng spent a blissful evening dancing with reckless abandon!
